Frequently Asked Marketing Questions

This section helps answer some frequently asked questions:

Q: What is Integrated Marketing?

A: There are many answers…we believe this definition works best:

“True IMC is the development of marketing strategies and creative campaigns that weave together multiple marketing disciplines (paid advertising, public relations, promotion, owned assets, and social media) that are selected and then executed to suit the particular goals of the brand.”[4] Instead of simply utilizing various media to help tell a brand’s overall story, with IMC the marketing leverages each communication channel’s intrinsic strengths to achieve a greater impact together than each channel could achieve individually. It requires the marketer to understand each medium’s limitation, including the audience’s ability/willingness to absorb messaging from that medium. This understanding is integrated into a campaign’s strategic plan from the very beginning of planning – so that the brand no longer simply speaks with consistency, but speaks with planned efficacy”

Q: What is Social Media Marketing (SMM)?

A: Social media marketing refers to the process of gaining website traffic or attention through social media sites.[1]

Social media marketing programs usually center on efforts to create content that attracts attention and encourages readers to share it with their social networks. A corporate message spreads from user to user and presumably resonates because it appears to come from a trusted, third-party source, as opposed to the brand or company itself.[2] Hence, this form of marketing is driven by word-of-mouth, meaning it results in earned media rather than paid media.[3] (Source Wikiipedia)

In short, your business utilizes Social Media Sites to divert traffic to your website, and ultimately your brick and mortar business. It must be engaging and interesting to attract clients. Contact Sirf Marketing today to find out more.

Q: How long does it take to get results?

A: We do not guarantee any specific results, as it takes many different factors to build a successful business. Although marketing is one of the most successful ways to build a customer list…a great product, awesome customer service, good location, and hard work also go a long way to build a business’ client list.

That being said…we do get results. We have successfully marketed a variety of businesses around Canada. On the other hand, we also say that ‘Rome was not built in a day’. It takes time, planning, and patience to build a proper marketing plan that gets results. Let’s get started today!

Q: Do you do all of the work in-house?

A: We strive to do, as much work in-house, as possible. We do sometimes contract out to other companies, in order to offer the best products or services available.

Q: Do you do printing at your shop?

A: In short…no. We do contract out work to print companies. We look for printing with the best quality and price. We do act as your agent to make it as simple a process as possible.
